October 2024 | Deal Completion

Bright Harbour Advisory has advised the shareholders of Gap 360 on its sale to Intrax. Founded in 2011, Gap 360 is a specialist in gap year and adventure travel for young adults, offering a diverse portfolio of travel programs in over 50 destinations around the world.

Intrax, headquartered in California, USA, is a global provider of educational and cultural programs including high school exchange, international au pairs, volunteering opportunities, leadership programs, and work and internship placements. The acquisition of Gap 360 enables Intrax to further diversify its program portfolio and gives young travellers greater access to global opportunities.

The deal sees Gap 360 Founder and Managing Director David Stitt retire after nearly 40 years in the travel industry, whilst Co-Founders Jane McLellan-Green, Operations and Sales Director, and James Jeremy, Technical Director, will continue in their roles and be part of Gap 360’s next chapter.

David Stitt, Managing Director of Gap 360, said: “Bright Harbour Advisory have been instrumental in guiding us through this complex process and finding a suitable buyer.  We are very pleased that Intrax will keep the team in place in our Tunbridge Wells office and share our philosophies and goals. Eleanor and her team have been on-hand every step of the journey. We couldn’t have done it without them and have no hesitation in recommending their services.”

Eleanor Wilkinson, Partner, who led the Bright Harbour Advisory team, commented: “Really pleased to have secured both an exit for David and a supportive ongoing partner in Intrax, for the other Founders and the broader Gap 360 team.”
